Meeting with Emmanuel, Head of international sales, at Addingwell
As Addingwell embarks on an ambitious internationalization strategy, we had the opportunity to speak with Emmanuel Allaire, our new Head of International Sales. With a rich and diverse experience in digital marketing and market expansion, Emmanuel shares with us his perspectives on the challenges, opportunities, and future vision of Addingwell in the global landscape of Server-Side Tracking.
- Can you tell us about yourself and your career path before joining Addingwell?
Hey there! I'm Emmanuel Allaire. Before embarking on this journey with Addingwell, my career path had its roots in diverse experiences. Originally from Northern France, my professional journey took an interesting turn after spending some years at Renault HQ and in Australia. Indeed, the landscape changed when I decided to kick off a new chapter in digital and ecommerce back in France in 2010.
Since then, I've delved into the realms of the digital and e-commerce world, embracing a variety of key projects for industries ranging from automotive and sportswear to luxury, banking, and education. This journey has been a collection of challenges, learnings, and growth, shaping my perspective in profound ways.
Now, I'm thrilled to bring this wealth of experience to Addingwell, ready for the next chapter in the dynamic world of Server Side solutions.
On a personal note, I call the stunning French Alps home, residing in Annecy—a backdrop that not only enriches my professional life but also provides an incredible setting for family adventures with my wife and two daughters. - What were your motivations for joining Addingwell?
What drew me to Addingwell were multifaceted motivations. Firstly, on a personal level, the initial discussions with Addingwell founders, Romain Baert and Julien Decroix, played a pivotal role. The human connection and shared vision were immediate motivators.
Professionally, the prospect of diving back into the data and tech world without the usual hustle and bustle was a breath of fresh air. I was genuinely impressed by Addingwell's product and its development—seeing a company that not only talks the talk but walks the walk was a compelling factor.
Overall, the blend of a strong human connection, aligned visions, and the opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge product made the decision to join Addingwell a no-brainer for me. - In your opinion, why is it crucial for Addingwell to engage in an internationalization process?
The decision for Addingwell to embark on an internationalization journey is rooted in both strategic foresight and industry demand. Domestically, Addingwell has become a reference point in France. The positive feedback from the tech industry has organically crossed borders, creating a compelling impetus for global expansion.
As we witness the increasing global complexity of data regulations and the evolving digital landscape, it becomes paramount for Addingwell to extend its reach beyond France. By going international, Addingwell is poised to support stakeholders worldwide—ranging from tech experts and digital marketing professionals to eCommerce and legal teams—in navigating the challenges posed by data collection and privacy regulations.
In essence, the internationalization process aligns with Addingwell's commitment to providing top-notch solutions on a global scale, reinforcing its position as a leader in the industry. - What are the main challenges and opportunities for Addingwell's internationalization?
The internationalization journey for Addingwell is not without its challenges, but it's also laden with exciting opportunities. One substantial challenge lies in finding the right partners—those who align with Addingwell's values and can navigate the diverse local landscape overseas effectively. It's akin to a strategic game, where the stakes are high, and we are meticulous in our partner selection.
Addingwell’s product, offering a best-in-class managed service with comprehensive 24/7 support, monitoring, and alerting, becomes a powerful tool in overcoming challenges. It provides a comfort zone, allowing us to address challenges proactively and maintain a high level of service quality.
In essence, the challenges are stepping stones to growth, and the opportunities lie in leveraging Addingwell’s product and building a resilient internal structure. - Which international markets are priority and why?
Europe is of course our priority but there is no reason not to cross the pond to land in North America for example. After all, on-going and upcoming restrictions are for some global. Google Chrome will join the herd of not collecting third party cookies by 2024 onwards. With Law 25, Canada could also be a market to expand.
The question of priority in international markets for Addingwell is an exciting one. While we say "the sky's the limit," we do have our sights set on specific regions. Our priority isn't bound by geographical constraints but rather by the challenges faced by markets in data collection.
In essence, our priority is guided by the need for Addingwell's expertise in markets facing substantial issues with data collection. The goal is to extend globally and become a trusted partner in overcoming these challenges. - Are there any key collaborations planned in this internationalization strategy?
We will make sure to move step by steps. The key remains in having the right chunk of local partners before going bigger.
In our internationalisation strategy, collaboration is a key element, but it's a step-by-step process. We recognise the importance of moving thoughtfully and ensuring that each collaboration adds significant value.
Our focus is on establishing connections with local partners in the markets we aim to enter. We believe in the power of local expertise and understanding, and forging alliances with the right partners is integral to our approach. It's about building a network that not only understands the nuances of the international landscape but also aligns with Addingwell’s values.
Additionally, there's a notable opportunity to connect with French partners who have local offices outside of France. These connections provide a bridge between our home base and the new territories we are exploring, offering a valuable touchpoint for cultural understanding and seamless integration. - What is your long-term vision for Addingwell on the international stage?
Good question! I would say to become THE Server Side Trusted Partner anywhere with anyone.
Our long-term vision for Addingwell on the international stage is nothing short of ambitious. We aspire to be recognized as the Server Side Trusted Partner globally. It's not just about geographical expansion; it's about becoming synonymous with reliability and excellence in the ever-evolving tech landscape.
We envision Addingwell as a go-to resource, not just for specific industries or regions but for anyone, anywhere looking for top-tier Server Side solutions. Our commitment extends beyond offering exceptional products and services; we aim to set the standard for innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
